LEMOND ZURICH
NO LONGER FOR SALE
(SORRY)
STEEL IS REAL!
If you've dreamed of owning a fine European-style steel road bike, it'd be hard to do better than the LeMond Zurich at this price.
This is an absolutely flawless bike: great geometry, great tubes, full Shimano Ultegra gruppo, beautiful red color. But I have seven bicycles and limited space and riding time, so something has to give. I bought this bike new in 1998; it's never been raced, nor has it been ridden in the rain; and it is in mint condition. Tires, bar wrap and chain were recently replaced. Not a scratch. I'm willing to negotiate regarding the saddle and pedals, but otherwise, I'm fairly firm on this price.
This is essentially the same Zurich frame you'd find today in bike shops selling for roughly $2K, except with different paint/decals and without the Rolf wheelsets. I've seen similar Zurichs and even LeMond's Buenos Aires model (same frame with lessor Shimano 105 components) selling for more on E-Bay. It's a 59 cm size; I'm 5'-10" with a 32" inseam, it would probably work well for riders up to six feet tall.
E-mail me directly and I'd be happy to call you to provide more information.

BikeReview.comNote: The LeMond Zurich has been unchanged for several years, except for different paint and decals. Starting with the 1999 model, LeMond bikes such as the Zurich also have been equipped with Rolf Aero wheels with minimal spokes (which many people don't consider an improvement.) Otherwise, my Zurich is the same as the new models.
